NTA conducts NEET 2019 successfully; answer key expected soon

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has successfully conducted the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) on Sunday, May 5, 2019.
Now the candidates are waiting for the release of the official answer key. It is expected that the NTA will release the official NEET 2019 answer key on or before May 12 on its official website - ntaneet.nic.in.
Once the official answer key is released, if any discrepancy found in the answer key the same can be challenged by the candidates, who had appeared for the NEET 2019 examination, by paying non-refundable procession fee of Rs. 1000/- per answer challenged.
Challenges made by the candidates will be verified by the NTA with the help of its subject experts. If found correct, the answer key will be revised accordingly. Based on the revised Answer Key, result will be prepared and declared. No individual candidate will be informed about the acceptance/non-acceptance of his/her challenge.
NEET (UG) - 2019 result will be declared by June 5, 2019.
In order to be eligible for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses, it will be necessary for a candidate to obtain minimum of marks at 50th percentile in NEET to MBBS/BDS Courses.
The Counselling for successful candidates under 15 per cent All India Quota seats and all seats of Deemed Universities/Central Universities/Seats of ESIC & AFMC including Delhi University (DU), BHU & AMU will be conducted by the MCC/DGHS. The counselling for admission in seats under the control of other States/Universities/Institutions will be conducted as per the notifications issued separately by the authorities concerned.

• "Biology was easier. Physics and Chemistry was tougher than expected," said students who appeared for the NEET UG 2019 exam today.
• Some of the students shared that most of the questions were from NCERT syllabus
• Some of the students said that few numerical questions were difficult as expected
• Students in Pune said that answers sheets were given sharp at 2.00 PM and it took them 10 minutes to fill out details. Students said that they should have given the answersheets before official time

"Overall, it was a standard NEET paper and cut-offs are likely to follow the trend similar to 2017 and 2018 NEET exams. No major surprises," said educationist Durgesh Mangeshkar.
