JAIPUR: As 2.30 crore voters would be deciding the fate of 134 candidates in 12 constituencies in the second phase of Lok Sabha elections in Rajasthan on Monday, more than one lakh polling and security personnel would ensure peaceful, free and fair elections. As the security has been beefed up in these constituencies, being a sensitive district, Dausa would get special attention.
Two former Olympians, one former IAS, one former IPS officer and two seers are among the 134 candidates whose fate will be decided by the voters on Monday.

The state has been provided around 125 companies of paramilitary forces for the Lok Sabha elections, as per the sources. “There are 6,374 critical polling stations in Rajasthan for the second phase of elections. There will be 12 general observers, 14 expenditure observers and six police observers in the second phase,” said state chief electoral officer Anand Kumar.
About 35 companies of paramilitary forces would ensure peaceful voting in about 961 critical booths in Dausa. “Apart from central forces, there would be police forces and homeguards. All the critical booths would be covered by webcasting, videography, micro observers and central forces,” said Dausa district election officer Avichal Chaturvedi. Around 1,000 central security personnel would take care of all polling booths in Jaipur Rural and Jaipur. “There would be 424 micro observers, 4,255 security personnel, including police force and central forces. Apart from that, there would be 192 videographers and webcasting would be done at around 119 polling booths,” said district collector Jagroop Yadav. There are 488 critical/sensitive booths in Jaipur Rural and 675 in Jaipur. In Jaipur there are 1,873 polling stations, while there are 2,025 stations in Jaipur Rural.
