A father has saved his baby from a gunman during a dramatic carjacking in Brisbane.
The father was able to grab the child from his Mercedes before the offender stole it on Kitchener Road in Ascot at about 7.40pm on Monday night.
The gunman had earlier tried but failed to carjack another driver after crashing the car he'd been driving.
He remains on the run and has a distinctive tattoo across his throat, two black circle earrings, a partially shaved head and a rat's tail hairstyle.
He was wearing a shirt with a dragon emblem.
