The host of Africa’s Travel Indaba, South African Tourism, invited all delegates to make donations towards those affected as a result of downpours at this year’s show which was held from May 1-3, 2019.

“Our hearts go out to those who have lost so much and we would like to extend a helping hand to help with the recovery. We want to show the KwaZulu-Natal community and our African neighbours that as an organization and an industry on the whole, we truly care,” says Sthembiso Dlamini, Acting CEO at South African Tourism.

A special collection desk was set up in the main registration area, throughout the three days of Indaba, for people to donate generously. Funds collected will be donated to selected Non-Profit Organisation’s (NGO) who will ensure distribution of these funds.

“Durban is our home for Africa’s Travel Indaba, and it’s important for us to do whatever possible to ensure that anyone impacted by the storm have the support and resources to bounce back during this difficult time. We invite attendees of Indaba 2019 to open their hearts towards making a difference,” concluded Dlamini.
