Candidates find Physics paper tough, Biology easy

Over 6,500 candidates appeared for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) at 10 centres in Puducherry on Sunday.

A majority of them found Biology and Chemistry papers easy and rated the Physics paper tough. Priyanka, a who wrote the entrance examination at the Kendriya Vidyalaya Campus I on Jawharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research Jipmer, said the Biology paper was very easy when compared to Physics.

Reshma from Puducherry said that the Biology paper was the easiest. “The questions were relatively easy and those who had studied the NCERT syllabus for Plus One and Plus Two could easily clear the exams without any coaching,” she said.

Roshan, another student, said Physics was tougher than other subjects.

The questions in Physics were time consuming while questions in Biology and Chemistry were moderate and easy, he said.

The exam had 180 questions with a tally of 720 marks with four marks allotted for each correct answer and minus one for each wrong answer.
