Order reserved on Atishi’s plea against Gautam Gambhir
Atishi, on April 26, had moved the Tis Hazari court against Gambhir, claiming that he is a registered voter in two constituencies — Karol Bagh and Rajendra Nagar, which is a violation of the Section 125A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.
delhi Updated: May 07, 2019 01:56 ISTA Delhi Court on Monday reserved its order on a plea by Aam Aadmi Party’s East Delhi candidate Atishi seeking records from the state election commission to establish that the BJP candidate Gautam Gambhir was enrolled as a voter in two assembly segments. The court has reserved its order till May 13. It will also decide on whether to record Atishi’s statement in the case.
Atishi, on April 26, had moved the Tis Hazari court against Gambhir, claiming that he is a registered voter in two constituencies — Karol Bagh and Rajendra Nagar, which is a violation of the Section 125A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951. The court on May 1 had asked Atishi, to satisfy the court on the “locus” and “procedure” for the prosecution.
