Minors sexually abused in Chomu, case registered

JAIPUR: Two minor sisters filed a complaint of molestation and rape against a family acquaintance in Chomu. The girls are aged 16 and 17. The girls registered a complaint stating that the accused sexually abused them when they visited their maternal relatives around a fortnight back. He molested and showed obscene videos to the younger one and raped the elder one.
“The sisters had gone to visit their maternal uncle’s house around two weeks back. During that time, the accused carried out the crimes. After returning home, they did not immediately inform their parents about it. After the parents got to know of the alleged crime, they registered a complaint with us,” said Hemraj Singh, SHO at Chomu police station.

“The accused was a regular visitor at their relative’s house and the girls claimed that he would show indecent videos to the younger sister and also touch her inappropriately. We are investigating the matter and questioning the accused and other family members to ascertain details about the alleged crime. Medical tests will also be done,” added the SHO.
The police have registered a case under POCSO Sections 3 /4 (penetrative sexual assault on a child and its punishment) and 11 /12 (sexual harassment of a child).
