Farhan Akhtar who has brought stories of sportsmen to the big screens like ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ and ‘Toofan’ said he would like to play Luis Suarez if given a chance.

The actor when questioned if there is any player he would like to portray he replied, "I think with the colour of my skin I could play somebody from South America or somebody from Spain or Portugal. From the current lot, I think Luis Suarez would probably be a good player as I slightly have teeth like him."

The Barcelona and Uruguay footballer is famous for his bite. He was banned from all football activity for four months after biting Italy’s Giorgio Chiellini during the 2014 World Cup.

At the event, Farhan was also asked if he had a message for the younger generation, he said, "Sports is a very important part of personal development - not only physically - it also makes u mentally stronger, especially when you are playing a team sport. It teaches you how to deal with success and loss and how to remotivate yourself. There are a lot of life lessons that can be learnt through sport. And of course, it keeps you fit".

Farhan also expressed his concerns regarding the lack of space in cities like Mumbai where there are not many playgrounds for kids. He said, "Space is like a premium in a city like Mumbai. With Urban development, everything has changed. I do feel pretty sad for kids in Mumbai today.

"They are kind of always stuck on their screens. Kids want to have fun and have an adventure and play games and with the shrinking open space, its become more and more difficult. I hope developing areas will keep this in mind so that children have an opportunity to also kind of develop their sporting abilities."

In an event organized by Sony Pictures Sports Network, Farhan Akhtar will be heading to watch the finals of the Champions League tournament at the Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid, Spain, on June 1.

Farhan, who is UEFA’s official guest from India, has kicked off a series of activities leading up to the build-up of the UEFA Champions League finals.

The Manchester City fan said, “I have grown up watching and playing football and I am thrilled to be UEFA’s official guest from India. Getting the opportunity to watch the UEFA Champions League Final match live at the stadium, surrounded by thousands of passionate fans and soaking in the electrifying atmosphere is going to be an unforgettable experience. I will be posting all about it on Twitter and Instagram so that fans can follow all the action with me.

"It's like a carnival and its one of the greatest sporting events of all time".

When asked about whom he sees in the finals, he said, "Barca are clear favourites, and so are Ajax."

After the first leg, Barcelona have three goals to nil against Liverpool. As for Ajax, the young side is dominating over Tottenham Hotspur.

The second leg will begin on Wednesday where Liverpool will host Barcelona and Tottenham will travel to Ajax's home ground.
