The Delhi police has arrested a 25-year-old man who was involved in more than half a dozen cases of murder and attempt to murder registered in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, the police said on Sunday.
The accused has been identified as Vikas Kasana, a resident of Mayur Vihar and a member of a gang, they said.
The police said Kasana was caught on Saturday from near DDA Park in east Delhi’s Kondli where he came to meet his accomplice. A semi-automatic pistol with four cartridges and a motorcycle were recovered from him. Kasana also carried ₹50,000 reward on his arrest.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Ram Gopal Naik said Kasana was involved in the attack of their rival gang member, Sandeep Nagar, who was a witness in a case of murder. Earlier, 10 people were arrested in the case while Kasana was absconding, the police said.
