Inside Edge actor Karan Oberoi gets arrested for raping and blackmailing woman
Karan Oberoi, television actor who is known to work in shows like Inside Edge and Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin, has been accused of rape and blackmailing a woman. Police arrested the actor on Monday after an FIR was registered at Oshiwara Police Station in Mumbai under sections 376 (rape) and 384 (extortion) of the Indian Penal Code against Oberoi. Going by the Police reports, the actor has raped a woman on the pretext of marrying her. He even filmed the scene and blackmailed her to give him money.
Quoting the FIR, the police stated, “Oberoi not only raped the woman and filmed the act but also demanded money from the victim threatening to release the video if she did not pay up.”
