Actor Mahesh Babu, who is gearing up for the release of Maharshi, has finally opened up on his long pending collaboration with filmmaker SS Rajamouli, confirming that they’re definitely joining hands for a project next year.

During the promotions of Maharshi, Mahesh was asked about his project with Rajamouli, and he said, “We are committed to do a project together”. He went on to add that the script has already been locked, and veteran producer KL Narayana is already on board. “Right now, both of us are determined to complete our current commitments. He is India’s numero uno director and you will definitely see us joining hands for a film to be produced by KL Narayana. It should most likely happen next year,” Mahesh said.

Mahesh will next team up with director Anil Ravipudi. The yet-untitled project is expected to go on the floors from July. Meanwhile, Maharshi is slated to hit the screens on May 9.

Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, the film also stars Pooja Hegde, Jagapathi Babu and Allari Naresh in crucial roles.

The film was originally planned to be released on April 25th. However, last month, producer Dil Raju in a press meet confirmed that the release has been pushed to May 9th. He revealed the reason for postponement of the release is post-production work which is taking more time than expected.

The film, which has been jointly produced by Dil Raju, Ashwini Dutt and PVP Cinema, has music by Devi Sri Prasad while KU Mohanan has cranked the camera
