Cape Town - Proteas batsman JP Duminy has retired from domestic cricket following the Cape Cobras semi-final loss in the CSA T20 Challenge.
According to Cricket South Africa's website, Duminy will still be available for T20 cricket for South Africa and in international T20 leagues, including the Mzansi Super League.
Recovering from a right shoulder injury, Duminy could only play in three T20 Challenge games for the Cobras, scoring 30 runs and one wicket.
His final game for the Cobras came against the Warriors in their semi-final T20 loss in East London last week Wednesday.
Duminy will also retire from one-day cricket following this year's Cricket World Cup in England and Wales.
The 35-year-old was named in the Proteas' 15-man squad that will be looking to lift up the elusive ICC trophy.
The Proteas take on the hosts, England in the opening World Cup game on Thursday, May 30.
