ICSE, ISC result 2019: Prayers, sleepless nights and more; 10th, 12th students keep their fingers crossed ahead of results
The Indian Certificate of Secondary Examination (ICSE) and Indian School Certificate Examination (ISC) results will be declared on May 7
Board Exams 2019 Updated: May 05, 2019 17:10 ISTThe Indian Certificate of Secondary Examination (ICSE) and Indian School Certificate Examination (ISC) results will be declared on May 7. And so begins a round of the city’s religious places, entreating a higher power to intervene by students.
Vasundhra Prasad of class 12 at La Martiniere Girls College said, “Though I have a very supportive atmosphere at home, I am very anxious about the results. I pray every day and ask God to get me above 90% marks.”
Her friend, Anaisha Sadri of same institution said, “I have promised God that I will feed poor people and distribute sweets among them if I pass with flying colours. Though I sleep properly every day, the night before the results will surely be sleepless one (laughed).”
Sunidhi Srivastava (class 10) at St Teresa’s College said, “Ever since I got to know that the results will be declared on Tuesday, my hands have turned cold. I have been to the temple on Thursday and will again visit on Tuesday morning to seek God’s blessings.”
Likewise, Riya Mishra (class 10) of Seth MR Jaipuria School was too nervous and believed that seeking God’s blessings will surely help. Riya said, “I do pray to God day and night that I get a result according to my performance. If I do, I will visit Aastha Old Age Home and spend time with the people there.”
About family expectations, she said, “I have a very study-oriented atmosphere at home. I thank my parents for not being Hitlers (laughed). My younger brother, in Class VIII, took my revision. They are all very supportive.”
However, there are youngsters like Shresth Sonkar (ICSE_ and Aniket Chauhaan (ISC) of Seth MR Jaipuria School. The PCM students said, “We are neither praying nor having sleepless nights. We are hoping that our hard work will pay off.”
“I am very happy that after a lot of rumours regarding the date, finally the website has officially said something. I was awaiting the results since long. I am confident,” said Shreshth. Aniket said, “I am very optimistic. My friends are having sleepless nights but I am expecting a good result.”
And then there are those who are confidence personified. Aryan Chaturvedi (class 12) of St Francis College said, “I watch IPL and then football till 2 am. The marks will depend upon how the examiner marks the papers. I do hope that I get a lenient one.”
