Discontent in Congress will get worse after poll results: Yeddyurappa

Hubballi: Former chief minister and state BJP president BS Yeddyurappa again harped on the future, or lack thereof, of the coalition government after the Lok Sabha election results on May 23.
Before taking part in the campaign for BJP candidate SI Chikkangoudar in Kundgol on Sunday, he said discontent was brewing among Congress and JD(S) legislators and leaders and it may escalate after the results. He claimed around 20 Congress MLAs have expressed unhappiness and were not supporting chief minister HD Kumaraswamy.

He alleged that the Congress was pumping in huge amounts of money into both assembly constituencies but the BJP would seek votes on its performance and explain its achievements.
Yeddyurappa said Kumaraswamy has backstabbed farmers in the name of farm loan waiver but the government has failed to do it. “The CM is now writing solace letters to farmers, assuring them their loans will be waived off,” he said. Condemning Kumaraswamy’s alleged anti-North Karnataka statements, Yeddyurappa said he had always neglected this part of Karnataka. Earlier, Yeddyurappa said that following pressure from home minister MB Patil, police are harassing BJP workers and well-wishers and registering cases against them.
