The Sri Lankan army chief’s startling claim that some of the Easter Sunday bombers had “visited Kerala, Bengaluru and Kashmir” cannot be brushed aside (Page 1, May 5). How did this happen without the knowledge of the respective State governments? Are we still soft on terror? Going by the General’s statement, India seems to have had a narrow escape too. The government must deal with local terror with an iron hand.
