A murder- suicide and arson.

A reedsport man has been arrested in connection with two sexual assaults that took place on the coast in douglas county.

Detectives arrested this man -- edward owen spalione at his home today... they say he was a person of interest in the cases -- and after evidence was collected at his hone he was arrested and taken to the douglas county jail on several charges...including kidnapping and sexual abuse... the say he was arrested in connection to an assault which took place last sunday at carter lake -- while a woman was walking her dog.

The other incident occurred back on august 16th in 2018 -- when they say a woman, who had been sleeping in her vehicle along sparrow park road, awoke to a man sexually assaulting her.
