Man sodomises boy after showing him porn video in Mumbai suburb

KALYAN: Two weeks after a 36-year-old man from Dombivli allegedly sodomised a 9-year-old boy who lives in his neighbourhood, the man was arrested on Saturday. The police said that the accused, Dinesh Lawhari, had also shown the child a pornographic video.
According to a complaint filed by the child's mother at Manpada police station, the child had stepped out of the house on April 19 to run an errand when Lawhari, an employee of a housekeeping service, called the child over to his home. "He showed him a porn video and sexually assaulted him," said a police officer.
He then threatened the boy not to speak about the incident to anybody. The boy, who had kept silent for almost a fortnight told his mother about the sexual assault on Saturday after which she lodged a police complaint.
Lawhari has been booked under for unnatural offences and under sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, said the police officer.
