Keep eye on shaky buildings: BMC chief

MUMBAI: The municipal commissioner has instructed all ward officials to check the status of dilapidated buildings in their respective jurisdiction and take necessary action before the monsoon.
Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) cut supply of water and power to most dangerous buildings to force residents to vacate the premises.
The BMC checks status of such buildings before the rains and issues notices to their occupants.
