A newborn female baby was found abandoned on Cross Cut Road here on Friday night.
The baby, wrapped in clothes, was found in front of a hotel. People, who heard the cries of the baby, alerted the police. They immediately shifted the infant to the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital. According to CMCH authorities, the baby could have been two days old. The infant is currently being taken care at the Neonatal Ward of CMCH. The condition of the baby was stable on Saturday.
