Three women killed, 25 injured in accident

Kanpur: Three women were killed while 25 others injured, after a tractor-trolley in which they were travelling, overturned in Gadnapur village under Gursahaiganj police station in Kannauj district on late Friday night.
Police identified the deceased as Pappi (40), Suman (30) and Guddi Devi (50), all residents of Nepalpur Pahelpurwa in Taalgram area of the district.
“The deceased, along with more than two dozen people, including family members, relatives and villagers, had gone to Annapurna Devi temple to attend a ‘mundan’ ceremony on Friday morning. While they were on way back to their native place on late Friday night, the driver lost control and the tractor-trolley turned turtle near Gadnapur village in Gursahaiganj police area. Pappi, Suman and Guddi Devi, who had sustained serious injuries, succumbed on the spot while other 25 injured have been admitted to Tirwa medical college where condition of few persons is stated to be critical” said SP, Kannauj, Amrendra Pratap Singh.
