Mother pleads for help to find attackers after two sons 'king hit'
A Mornington Peninsula woman has appealed for help to find a group of men who seriously assaulted her two sons in a supermarket car park early on Saturday morning.
Lochie and Rueben Higgins were allegedly attacked outside Coles in Mornington around 3am.
A Victoria police spokeswoman said two men, aged 20 and 17, were walking through the car park when they became involved in an altercation with a group of men.
Both brothers were punched and knocked to the ground before the men fled the scene in an unknown vehicle.
Amanda Higgins posted photographs on Facebook on Saturday of her two sons bloodied and in neck braces in the Alfred Hospital.
"These are my two boys at the Alfred ED. Both king hit early this morning in Mornington Coles car park. If anyone saw or knows anything please let me know," she said.
The brothers were transported by road to hospital with head and neck injuries. The 20-year-old is in a serious condition and the 17-year-old is stable.
Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information relating to the identity of the men involved to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report online at crimestoppersvic.com.au
