Madurai: Three boys drown trying to retrieve ball

MADURAI: Three school students drowned in a river in Kodaikanal, when they went to retrieve ball on Friday.
Police said, the boys identified as Anand, 15, and Dhanush, 15, of class X and Jagathees a class VIII student had been playing near the river with other boys in Kurunji Nagar in Kodaikanal. When the ball with which they were playing fell into the river the three boys went to retrieve it. But they were swept away. The fire service was informed by the locals. And the bodies were retrieved and sent to the Kodaikanal government hospital for post-mortem. Kodaikanal police have registered a case.
