CBSE Class XII: Girls outshine boys in almost all schools

Ludhiana: Around 12,000 students appeared in the CBSE Class XII exams in Ludhiana across four streams: Non-Medical, Medical, Commerce, and Humanities. The results were announced on CBSE’s website on Thursday. Once again, girls outshone boys in Ludhiana by clinching the top positions in all the four streams.
Aaina Makkar of Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, BRS Nagar; and Rhythm Singla of DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, came second in the district and topped the Commerce stream with 98.4% marks. They were followed by Anushka Chaudhary of Sacred Heart Convent School, Sarabha Nagar, who was first in the Non-Medical stream with 98.2% marks. Milanpreet Kaur of BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, scored 97.4% marks to stand out in the Medical stream and bag the fourth position in the district.
Sacred Heart Convent School, Sarabha Nagar, added many feathers to its cap with yet another batch of commendable results. School principal Sister Reshmi congratulated school topper Anushka Chaudhary, who is also the city topper in the Non-Medical stream. Other toppers are Nitya Mahajan 97.8% (Humanities), Harmehar Kaur 97.2% (Commerce), and Arshleen Kaur Selhi 97% (Medical). In many subjects like Economics, Mathematics, Political Science, Painting, Commercial Art, and Hindustani Music, a good number of students scored full marks i.e. 100. No child has scored below 60%. 129 students out of 276 students scored 90% and above.
From Delhi Public School, 43 students appeared, with 42 of them getting distinctions. More than 28 students scored 90% and above. In Humanities, Anureet Kaur scored 96.8%; in Commerce, Ridhi Shah scored 95.8%, and Bhavya Jindal scored 94%.
All 360 students of BCM School, Chandigarh Road, showed 100% results, with 75 students scoring above 90% in aggregate, while 20 secured the perfect 100 marks in various subjects. Bhawna of Commerce got 97.2%, and became the school’s overall topper. Namandeep Kaur of Humanities with 97%, and Eva Singla of Commerce with 96.6 followed her closely. Niharika Mehta of Medical with 95.2%, and Pulkin Gupta of Non-Medical with 93.8% became toppers in their particular streams.
Students of Gujranwala Guru Nanak Public School (GGN Public School), Rose Garden, showed 100% results in all streams — Medical/Non-Medical, Commerce, and Humanities. In the Commerce stream, Gurneet Singh bagged the first position in the school with 94.6%; in Non-Medical, Simranjeet Kaur Arora bagged 91.2%; in Humanities, Muskan Sharma scored 94.2%; and in Medical, Ketanjeet Singh and Kamaljeet Kaur shared the same percentage (89.4)
Students of Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, BRS Nagar, once again proved their mettle by achieving 100% results. School toppers from the Commerce stream are Aaina Makkar with 98.4%; in the Non-Medical stream, Sanuj Sood (95.6%); in Medical stream, Soumit Sarupya Swain (92.4%); and in Humanities, Chirag Goyal (97%).
Ryan International School students also came out with flying colours in their class XII examination. Viduti Bhatia stood first (Overall and Commerce stream) with 97.2%. Shivam Kumar bagged the first place in Humanities with 96.8%, and Anmolpreet stood first in Non-Medical with 96%. More than 40 students scored 90% and above.
Police DAV Public School students once again outshined in CBSE Class 12 exams in all the four streams. Vanshita Chopra (Commerce) and Dheeraj Gupta (Humanities) were school toppers (95.4% each). Gayatri bagged the first position in Non-Medical stream (93.6%); and Dalima Behki scored the first position in the Medical stream (89.4%). A total of 63 students scored 80% and above.

Students of DAV, Pakhowal Road, produced an outstanding 100% result. School toppers are Janvi from Commerce(97%), Divyanshu from Humanities (95.6%), Avneet Kaur from Medical (93.8%), and Gursheya Kaur (95.4%) in Non-Medical.
Out of 240 students of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Kitchlu Nagar, 43 of them grabbed 90% and above. In Biology, Kritika Verma; and in Economics, Meha Maggo and Kamakshi scored a perfect 100.
