Modi to hold series of election meets in Kashi from today

Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold his public meeting in carpet city of Bhadohi on Sunday followed by his electoral public meetings at Jaunpur, Mirzapur and Chandauli on May 9, 12 and 14, respectively.
Bharatiya Janata Party Kashi region unit president Mahesh Chandra Srivastava said that a series of PM’s public meetings in parliamentary constituencies of Kashi region unit had already been started. On Saturday, he addressed a meeting in Pratapgarh, he added.
On Sunday morning, the unit’s vice president Nagendra Raghuvanshi said, the PM will address a public meeting at Almau in Lalanagar area along national highway-2 in Bhadohi. As per the BJP leaders it would be Modi’s first public meeting in the carpet city.
After Bhadohi, Modi’s show will be evident at Jaunpur on May 9, said Raghuvanshi adding that the tentative dates of Modi’s public meetings at Mirzapur and Chandauli are May 12 and 14.
At Bhadohi parliamentary seat, the BJP fielded the sitting MP Virendra Singh Mast for Ballia seat replacing him with Ramesh Bind to contest for Bhadohi seat.

Bind was recently in controversy when Bhadohi police lodged an FIR against this BSP turncoat BJP candidate on April 30 for a hate speech at Gopiganj police station.
He was booked under section 153A (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc, and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony) of IPC.
