AGRA: A 40-year-old auto-rickshaw driver was arrested and booked for allegedly raping his 19-year-old daughter for the last six years.
The incident took place in Nagla Pansahay village of Firozabad district. The matter came to light on Friday early morning at around 12.30am, when the man again attempted to sexually abuse his daughter. This time, however, she confronted him and called Dial 100 cops.
According to police, during the six-year-long sexual abuse period, the victim became pregnant thrice and is currently nursing a two-month-old infant. “On two occasions she was forced to abort by her father. Fearing assault and harassment, the victim’s mother too never complained to the local police,” said senior sub inspector Harish, while speaking to TOI on Saturday.
“After she gave birth to a child, which the woman claims to be of her father, the accused man wed off the victim in a small private ceremony to her boyfriend last month. A couple of days back, the victim returned to her parent’s home for a brief stay, during which the accused man once again attempted to sexually abuse his daughter. However, this time the girl confronted him and called the cops,” Harish added.

He said, “Our initial probe suggests that the victim’s husband was not aware about the sexual abuse of the woman by her own father, but still agreed to marry her and take care of the child. After the FIR, the woman was sent for a medical examination, while the accused was arrested and sent to jail.”
He was levied with charges under IPC sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily hurt), 376 (rape) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation).
