The Panamericana grille has become a signature feature for the modern range-topping Mercedes-AMG models. The new GLS 63 will get it, too, as recent spy shots have revealed, yet this rendering eschews this for something low-key.
Elsewhere, the GLS 63 has been drawn by AksyonovNikita with a sportier body kit emphasized by the new front and rear bumpers, restyled side skirts and a rear diffuser that incorporates four square-shaped tailpipes. The blacked out elements, special badges and different wheels complete the appearance of the range-topping high-performance SUV.

We’ll have to wait at least a few more months to find out exactly how the new GLS 63 looks like, as it’s thought to be introduced before the end of the year. Compared to the regular versions, it will get upgraded suspension and brakes, as well as some chassis fine-tuning, in addition to a new engine. AMG’s current 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 is seen as the best candidate to replace the 577 horsepower 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 of the outgoing iteration.
Despite its smaller displacement, it offers more power, up to 630 horsepower in the GT 63 S 4-Door Coupe, which is capable of supercar performance, with 3.2 seconds for the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint and a 315 km/h (196 mph) top speed. The engine will reportedly be put to use, with an identical output, in the upcoming AMG GT R Black Series. The GLS 63 will have no direct rival from Munich, as BMW is apparently not interested in launching an X7 M.
