An unidentified body of a man, said to be in his early thirties, was found near a public toilet in Deonar on Friday morning. Police said his face was disfigured and suspect assailants may have smashed it with a stone.
The man’s body was found by passers-by around 6.30am on the Mankhurd-Ghatkopar Link Road near Dr Zakir Hussain Nagar. The police said they did not find any documents or ID cards on the man to help with his identification.
“We are questioning locals to identify the body and scanning CCTV footage for any leads,” said a police officer attached to the Deonar station.
A case of murder has been registered against unidentified suspects.
