In class 2a, calhoun city tying to clinch its series at east union.

But the urchins were up, three- nothing, in the bottom of the fifth.

Calhoun city added six runs in the seventh.

And the wildcats come all the way back to win, 10-6.

This one was a pitchers duel early.... james clay mcgregor freezes shemar crawford to end the first... the hilltoppers break through in the bottom of the 4th... crawford lines one back up the middle... that scores brylee poteet and houston takes a 1-0 lead... later in the frame, houston starter gage harrington helps his own cause... harrington singles in two more runs... get this!

Houston led 5-1 after 5, but the vikings storm back to win 13-5.

In high school softball, we've reached the north half and south half finals.

We begin in 1a south half, where vardaman is trying to reach the state championship series for the very first time.

The lady rams hosting ethel in game one of their series.

Vardaman sporting their rally ducks this post-season... bottom 1.... some ducks on the pond for mckinley jones... jones ground to short.... it's an ethel error.... mary grace davis scores to tie it at 1... later in the frame.... kyleigh scott busts a base-hit to right... two runs score before scott is tagged out at second... vardaman wins, 14-4.

Game two is scheduled for saturday in ethel.

Class 3a north half.

Game one between south pontotoc and houston.

Still scoreless in the top of the 5th... south pontotoc loads the bases then plays 'small-ball.'

Lady cougars score their first run on a squeeze... worked so well they tried it again... allison harrison drops the bunt.... maisy cannerdy scores... lady cougars win, 3-2.

Game two is saturday at south pontotoc.
