REPORTER ASKING ENGLISH TRANSLATOR ABOUT NOT TRANSLATING THE PROFANITY STORY: Canelo Alvarez and Daniel Jacobs got into a heated shoving match Friday (May 3) after both fighters made weight for their middleweight unfication bout in Las Vegas this weekend.

28-year-old Alvarez (51-1-2, 35 KOs) weighed in at 159.5 pounds (72.3 kilograms) while 32-year-old Jacobs (35-2, 29 KOs) tipped the scales at an even 160 pounds (72.5 kgs) for their fight to unify the IBF, WBC, and WBA middleweight belts.

Tempers flared during the stare down when Mexican Alvarez and American Jacobs got close enough to touch heads and the two started a pushing match before being quickly separated.

Alvarez let loose with several insults in his native Spanish when asked about the incident by a reporter.
