HYDERABAD: “It is only when you elect TRS you will get help”: This is what TRS leaders campaigning for nominees in the MPTC and ZPTC elections are telling people across the state.
“Be it getting benefits from government schemes or requests for sanctions for development, the only way it is possible is by voting for TRS,” is the slogan that is echoing everywhere.
Former irrigation minister and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao, on Saturday, participated in an election meeting in Narayanraopet mandal in Siddipet to campaign for MPTC and ZPTC nominees of the TRS.
“If TRS nominees are elected, it becomes easy for us to coordinate on getting things done. Or else, it will be like two people pulling in different directions,” Harish Rao said at the meeting.
He added, “You have elected me with a majority of more than one lakh. Now, it is my responsibility to work for the people of the constituency for five years.” Some TRS MLAs are, however, putting it more bluntly.

“If we approach the chief minister or other ministers for help for funds to develop a village, it is understandable if we are asked if the local representatives have elected TRS nominees. We will also be inclined to respond favourably and immediately if we are approached for any help in any matter if the request comes from a village that elected a TRS nominee,” an MLA said.
During his campaign for ZPTC and MPTC candidates in his constituency Husnabad MLA Vodithela Sathish Kumar was to the point and stated that only voting for TRS would benefit people.
