Did A Stock Lamborghini Huracan Just Beat An Aventador SVJ?

Lamborghini’s top dog, the Aventador SVJ, was drag raced against a stock Huracan LP610-4, and it didn’t end as anyone would have expected.

Forgive us for spoiling the end result of the video shared at the bottom of the page, but seeing the smaller and less powerful supercar put the mighty SVJ in its corner was a huge surprise, to say the least.

The Aventador SVJ has very few natural enemies. And with its ability of hitting 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 2.8 seconds from a standstill and 217 mph (350 km/h), provided by the 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 and several aerodynamic upgrades and mechanical enhancements, it’s very easy to understand why.

Compared to the Huracan, which uses a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10, it’s 158 hp (160 PS / 118 kW) and 118 lb-ft (160 Nm) of torque more powerful as it pushes out an impressive 759 hp (770 PS / 566 kW) and 531 lb-ft (720 Nm), and 0.4 seconds quicker to 62 mph (100 km/h). It also has a 16 mph (26 km/h) higher top speed.

So, with all the odds against it, how did the Huracan manage to beat the Aventador? The driver can definitely take the credit for the WINS (that’s right, this wasn’t a one-time thing). The person behind the wheel of the flagship supercar still has some things to learn about drag racing and his ride in particular. Don’t go judging anyone before asking yourselves this: ‘Would I have done any better?’
