Unfazed by criticism over not supporting the Congress candidate in Lucknow despite joining the party recently, actor turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha on Friday said, “Main pati dharam nibhaane aya hoon (I am here to perform duty as a husband).”

Seeking votes for his wife and SP candidate Poonam Sinha at a public meeting in Daliganj, he said, “I am head of the Ramayan family and home minister of the Ramayan Parivar (Poonam Sinha) is contesting against the country’s home minister.”
