Five people, including a minor, were arrested by the Malkajgiri police in connection with the murder of a 28-year-old youth, who was found dead in bushes near Moulali Railway Station on Wednesday.
The victim, Joshua Rohit Samuel, from Vijayapuri Colony in Tarnaka was attacked with a boulder after a party during a drunken brawl with his friends, said Malkajgiri Deputy Commissioner of Police Ch.R.Umamaheswara Sarma.
He said the accused, all part of the victim’s friend circle, were identified as Casper Tej Emandi (34), a web designer, Mohammed Islam (19), Pullanur Babu (22), Mohd Irfan (20), all of them students, and a male juvenile in conflict with law, all from Secunderabad area.
Rohit, who lived with his mother, had left home around the midnight hour on Tuesday to attend a party with his friends but did not return home. His body was found in the bushes the next morning, Mr. Sarma said.
