Bhopal: Almost 20 to 25 districts will have an impact of Cyclone Fani in Madhya Pradesh. Wind with a speed of 40 kilometres per hour will sweep many districts on Saturday, according to weathermen who have also issued warning of rain. Districts which will have maximum impact of Cyclone Fani are Sidhi, Singrauli, Shahdol, Rewa, Satna, Anuppur, Dindori, Mandla, Balaghat, Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Hoshangabad, Betul, Chhindwara, Narsingpur, Sagar, Chhattarpur, Tikamgarh, Damoh, Panna, and Morena.
These districts will experience rain and thundershower along with high-speed winds. In Bhopal, weather became cloudy by the evening and mercury which was hovering at 44 degrees Celsius couple of days ago, came down to nearly 42 degrees Celsius. Similarly, day temperature was recorded low all over the state by 2 degrees Celsius to 2 degrees Celsius. According to the meteorological department, warning has been issued regarding Cyclone Fani which will cause rain and high-speed winds in many districts of the state. However, its intensity will not be much as it was in coastal states of Odisha and West Bengal.
DIST ADMIN ASKED TO REMAIN ALERT
Revenue and Relief Commissioner Manish Rastogi said, “Concerned district administrations have been issued warning by the Met Department. There is no need to panic as intensity of impact of Cyclone Fani will be quite low in Madhya Pradesh. These districts may experience rain and high-speed winds. Still district administrations have been asked to remain alert.”
