The Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Tribunal will hold a sitting here on May 10 and 11 in the wake of Central government declaring the Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) as an unlawful association.
A notification on declaring SIMI as unlawful association was issued on January 31, 2019.
The Tribunal will be presided over by Judge of the Delhi High Court Justice Mukta Gupta at the Conference Hall, Office of Ranga Reddy District Collector on May 10 from 10 a.m. The sitting of the Tribunal will be continued the next day too. The Tribunal appealed to the general public to attend the hearing and those who are interested in giving evidence may file their affidavit (in duplicate) with the Tribunal Registrar Lorren Bamniyal, Delhi High Court Building, Sher Shah Road, New Delhi.
Those who file their affidavits should be present in person on the above dates for their cross examination if any before the tribunal, according to a press release.
