CBSE Re-valuation 2019: How to apply for marks verification, re-valuation, and evaluated answer book

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the class 12 results today, i.e., May 2, 2019. CBSE has released the class 12 results for all regions on its official website cbse.nic.in and cbseresults.nic.in. The overall pass percentage of CBSE class 12 results is 83.4%.
CBSE has also released an important notice on the modalities and schedule for CBSE class 12 results marks verification, Obtaining Photocopy of the Evaluated Answer Book(s), and Re-evaluation.
Following are the modalities that candidates need to remember while applying for the processes of verification of marks, obtaining a photocopy of the evaluated answer book, and re-evaluation.
1. Candidates should note that all the processes will be accepted only Online and during the specified schedules along with processing charges.
2. Processing charges for the above-mentioned processes can only be deposited online. (No Postal Order/DD/Money order/ cheque/Cash etc will be accepted)
3. Incomplete applications will be rejected without intimating the same with the candidate.
4. For each process, candidates need to submit a separate application. Processing fee also varies from one to another.
5. The board will accept only one application for each stepper candidate. Candidate must decide in advance whether he/she wants to apply for one subject or multiple subjects.
6. Candidates would be required to surrender their mark sheet if their mark increases or decreases after the verification or revaluation process.
7. Candidates should also note that processing charges are not refundable
Verification of Marks
The processing charge for verification of the class 12 marks is Rs 500 per subject.
After the verification, the results of verification of marks can be obtained from the board’s official website. The official notification reads “In case of a change in marks, a letter will also be sent to the applicant by Speed Post by concerned Regional Office of CBSE. In case, where there is no change of marks, no letter will be sent by CBSE, however, the information will be uploaded on the website as mentioned in S.No 1 above.”
Candidates should note that the candidates those who will apply for verification of marks online will be eligible to apply for obtaining a photocopy of answer book(s) in that/those subject(s).
Application for obtaining a photocopy of the evaluated answer book
The processing charge for obtaining a photocopy of the evaluated answer book is Rs 700 per subject.
The official notification reads “Photocopy of the evaluated answer book will be provided in the candidate’s login account after blocking all information relating to the identity of the Examiner/ Evaluator/ any other official associated with the examination process etc. If the candidate desires to challenge the marks awarded to any question, then he/she shall have to apply online, as per the schedule for a re-evaluation of marks.”
Re-evaluation of evaluated answer book
The application process for re-evaluation/challenges will be accepted only for theory portion Rs.100 per question as processing charges.
Candidates who have applied for obtaining a photocopy of the evaluated answer book will be eligible to apply for re-evaluation or challenge the marks awarded to any question.
Status of revaluation will be uploaded on the website followed by a formal letter by speed post. Candidates should note that no appeal or review against the re-evaluation would be entertained.
