Car with Laden sticker taken into custody

Kollam: Iravipuram police on Thursday took a car with a sticker showing the face of global terrorist Osama bin Laden into custody from Kollam. Police said they received a tip off from a passenger about the car.
The car with West Bengal registration (WB 6-8451) was found moving through the city and a passenger took its picture and sent to the Iravipuram police. Following this, the car was taken into custody. There were three passengers in the car.
On interrogation, the driver said he had hired it from a Pallimukku native for a wedding. Later, the vehicle owner, identified as Nazar (22) of Mundakkal near Pallimukku, was summoned to the police station. He told police that he had bought the car from West Bengal a year ago. It was on the other day that he affixed the sticker on the car.
As the car had not been given NOC, he had not been using it regularly.

Police said central intelligence agency also started investigation as there were reports of terrorist organizations hatching plans to commit terror activities in the state.
The passengers and car owner have been released on bail. No case has been registered so far. But the car owner has been asked to report whenever summoned. tnn
