Another big field with plenty of leading chances drawn wide. Randwick filly 4. Loved One normally comes to hand quickly and has had two trials ahead of first-up run. Will take up a position just behind the speed from a cosy inside draw.
Dangers: Albury filly 2. Rarer Than Rubies mixes form and was rolled as a hot favourite last start, but does have fair metro form in two states. Resuming Canberra filly 8. Miss Crompton is expected to run a race fresh off three good efforts this track late last year and leading Sydney hoop jumps on. Include local filly 10. Coolyboss who was terrific winning her maiden first-up and drops in weight for this tougher test, but has drawn right off the track.

How to play it: Loved One each way and box trifecta 2-4-8-10.

Race 3: Class 3 Handicap (1000m)

No loafing here! If promising Albury mare 6. Yousay Bolt can find early cover first-up from a wide draw, she can produce her customary late turn of foot. Finished hard to win a BM 64 at Benalla in the spring before just missing in a Rosehill Highway when heavily backed. Only run this year easily won a Class 2 at Corowa.
Dangers: Kembla 5YO 1. Flash Fibian is classy but draws a wide barrier and has a mountain of weight. Finished well back behind a smart one in town before flashing home in a BM 84 this track a month back. Wangaratta visitor 4. Smart Ain't He has trialled well for new stable and his first run in six months with multiple gear changes, and did win early in the prep at Canterbury last winter. Another Albury contender 5YO 7. Nevada Dane is holding his form nicely this prep and gets in well at the weights. Watch for local 4YO gelding 12. Real Key late. Powered home to land a BM 58 last start and while this is tougher, drops in weight and draws a nice gate.

Race 4: BM 58 Handicap (1300m)

Wide open battle of tactics again but keen on Canberra 3YO 2. Francisco Pizaro who is sparingly raced but headed for bigger prizes. Three starts back charged late to just miss in the Canberra Guineas Preview, then flew home late over a shorter trip at Albury when heavily backed. The one to beat.
Dangers: Canberra mare and last-start winner here 7. Fraternater has kept improving and draws to get a lovely trailing spot just off the speed. Queanbeyan gelding 4. Tag 'N' Release resumes and can be hard to catch, but best form is early in the prep. Weighted right to his best but will appreciate any sting out of the ground. Local 6YO 3. Kruanui improved to win at this grade and track fourth-up but this has more depth. Include in exotics Canberra-trained 8YO 11. Smiling At Shadows who mixes form but can rattle off a slick final 400m.

How to play it: Francisco Pizaro to win and quinella 2 and 7.

Race 5: F & M BM 66 Hcp (1400m)

Disappointed in the second-up run from Randwick filly 2. Lucky Helmet in a BM 70 at Warwick farm but at her best would have these covered. Obviously will need some luck from the widest gate but is well capable of carrying the big weight over this trip.
Dangers: Canberra mare 4. Friskee One has made a mockery of her big odds last two starts, charging home to win a BM 70 at home before a good closing effort against stronger at Warwick Farm, and draws a nice gate. Big watch on talented Canberra filly 5. Dreaming Of Biscay who resumes, with solid first-up form, and looked sharp in a recent trial win.

How to play it: Lucky Helmet each way and box exacta 2-4-5.

Race 6: 3YO BM 74 GUINEAS (1600m)

Good race, with a stack of chances. Local gelding 10. Two Wrongs Don't should have won last start in a Class 3 at Albury when held up at vital stages in the straight. Before that charged home to win his maiden this track beating a nice galloper who has since won before bolting in again from the back at Gundagai. Smart finisher down in the weights at huge odds and suited at the mile.
Dangers: Wodonga gelding 4. Banger is a big finisher who should be suited despite the wide draw. Rounded them up with ease in a BM 64 at home two runs back and then wasn't far off high-class Tarwin at Caulfield who has since won again. Lightly raced Canberra filly 6. Mookareena, by a former Cox Plate winner, comes in with a sense of timing, having finished hard to win the Guineas Prelude last start and down 2kg, but has never run over the mile before. Warwick Farm filly 2. Perfect Pitch fought on OK last start and is again drawn to take up a handy position. Rival Warwick Farm filly 3. D'oro Rain won two back at Gosford and also draws to park right behind the speed with cover but this is as far as she wants. Moruya gelding 9. Dream Fields takes on tougher here but at the weights is a knockout chance. Rattled home to win against much weaker two runs back before heavily backed and just missing this track last start over the same trip. Another Canberra raider 11. Who's Shout has also been savaging the line of late and form around has been strong.

How to play it: Two Wrongs Don't each way and first four 2-4-6-10/2-3-4-6-9-10-11.

Race 7: WAGGA GOLD CUP (2000m)

Feature race, and while pace, tactics and luck will all play their part, this looks ideal for Irish-bred 6YO Rosehill gelding 4. Abdon fourth-up. The import signalled his promise with a strong BM 88 metro win late last year and has hit the line hard from well back in all three Group runs over the autumn carnival. Doesn't have a quick finishing sprint so will need the speed on but should love rolling home down this long stretch. Regular rider from the spring jumps back on.

Dangers: Randwick 5YO 2. Taikomochi won a Group 3 two runs back at Rosehill from the front and is again drawn to dictate the speed. Hard fit Godolphin gelding 3. Morton's Fork is close to a win after several tough finishing efforts and can peak off his effort in the Group 3 Easter Cup at Caulfield. No doubting Randwick gelding 5. Emperor's Way has the class and motor to win, having hit the line hard in the Group 3 JRA Plate at Randwick, but will need some breaks from the widest barrier. Moruya-based 4YO and last-start Murrumbidgee Cup winner 13. Animalia looks best of the rest.

How to play it: Abdon to win and box trifecta 2-3-4-5-13.

Race 8: BM 66 Hcp (1200m)

Tough one to finish but Canberra mare 8. Bank Of Erin looks hard to hold out third-up over this trip. Has a good strike, found the line nicely in two runs back and draws to get the right trail.
Dangers: Kembla 5YO 1. Rafha's Choice has been competing against stronger, and this looks more to his liking, but has been saddled with a huge weight. Victorian 3YO 4. That Song resumed for leading stable off a smart trial win and looks a clear threat. Local 7YO 3. Superoo is at his best this track and distance but draws wide.
