Ludhiana: SAD-BJP candidate from Ludhiana, Maheshinder Singh Grewal, conducted a meeting with the members of Ludhiana district bar association on Wednesday and sought their support for winning from the seat. Grewal, who was the president of the bar association in 1984, claimed that the body has assured support to him in the elections.
Making vote appeal for Grewal, senior lawyer and member of Punjab Bar Council, Harish Rai Dhanda said, “Grewal was one amongst us and it is an honour for the LBA that he is contesting elections from the city. He added that Grewal is the best candidate among those in the fray from Ludhiana.
Expressing his gratitude to the legal fraternity, Grewal said he felt completely at home while sitting among his own fraternity. He recalled his days as a lawyer saying, he had also got the opportunity to serve as the president of the LBA. “Today I feel like I am with my own family and the family is the greatest strength in any battle and any fight,” he told the members while recalling his long association with them. He said, he will try to ensure that he fulfils his supporters’ expectations.
Later, Grewal was felicitated by the Ludhiana Medical Representatives Association, which extended its support to his candidature. He thanked the medical representatives urging them to support him.
