Gurugram: Sarpanch, two others attack woman cop

GURUGRAM: Khandsa village sarpanch, his brother-in-law and one more person allegedly attacked a woman cop and her family late Tuesday night in Hari Nagar colony.
The accused opened fire in the air to threaten the family. The entire episode was captured on CCTV cameras. An FIR has been registered against the trio at Sector 37 police station on Wednesday, but none of the accused have been arrested yet. Reportedly, a dispute was going on between the two groups when the woman cop after marriage went to her parent’s house and did not return to her husband’s home. The cop and her husband got married around three months ago. According to reports, sarpanch Jaiveer was creating nuisance between woman and her husband when after 15 days she did not return to her husband’s house.
Meanwhile, the cop’s family said she had gone missing in suspicious circumstances from their house 15 days ago and they suspect the sapanch’s role.

An FIR was registered by the family in this regard. Late Tuesday night, sarpnach Jaiveer along with his brother-in-law Sunny and one more person reached the constable’s house. When her husband Virender Lamba, a property dealer, came outside, they started thrashing him. When the cop’s mother intervened, the accused pulled out a gun and opened fire to threaten her.
According to police, Jaiveer has previous criminal records, including cases of land fraud and cheating.
