Cyclone Fani: 3 special trains today to evacuate tourists from Puri

BHUBANESWAR: East Coast Railway (ECR) will run three special trains from Puri to Shalimar and Howrah in Kolkata in view of the return of tourists from the beach town due to cyclone Fani.
First special train will start its journey at 12 noon on Thursday from Puri to Shalimar in Kolkata, while the second and third trains will leave Puri at 3pm and 6pm respectively for Howrah.
The first train will reach Bhubaneswar at 1.30pm. It will have stoppages at Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jajpur Kendujhar Road, Bhadrak, Balasore and Kharagpur.
The train has reserved and unreserved accommodation. It has 3AC/2AC coaches too.
As the state government has already advised tourists to leave Puri before the cyclonic storm Fani hits Odisha coast, tourists have started leaving the beach town by rail and road routes.

Government has arranged special bus service to evacuate tourists from Puri. Five buses of Odisha state road transport corporation (OSRTC) to leave from Puri to Kharagpur on Thursday.
The Railways has cancelled at least 103 trains so far as a part of its safety measures. Cancellation of trains will be started from Thursday evening.
