AHMEDABAD: A Ghatlodia resident has filed an FIR with the city police stating that a moneylender and his aide has been threatening to kill him even after he paid Rs 7 lakh to them against a loan of Rs 4 lakh at 30% monthly interest he took around five months ago.
Complainant Kishan Parmar, resident of Ishwarkakanagar in Ghatlodia, stated that he took Rs 4 lakh from the accused, Mahesh Kamaji Thakor at the whopping interest. Even after he paid back Rs 7 lakh to him, he was constantly asking for money and even used to take Rs 10,000 per hour as penalty for delayed payment.

As Parmar recently refused to pay, he asked his aide Hiren Pravin Patel, who is also accused in the case, to recover the money. Patel allegedly threatened Parmar to keep paying money whenever asked by Thakor. He also threatened him that if he fails to pay the money, then they would kill him. Around a week ago, Patel and Thakor barged into Parmar's house and took his signed cheques at knifepoint.
After being harassed by the moneylenders, Parmar on Tuesday gave an application to DCP zone-1 office stating that he would commit suicide along with his entire family if police do not take any action against the moneylenders.
