Conspiracy against BJP in Tripura: CM

Agartala: Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb has said the BJP-led state government is facing a conspiracy within to tarnish the image of the party as well as the government.
“Along with CPM and Congress, some people in the government are also involved in conspiracies hatched against the government. None of them will be spared,” Deb said while addressing a meeting on Wednesday.
The chief minister added that all the conspirators have been identified and none of them will be spared. After the Lok Sabha is over, the state government would take action each one of them as per law.

A senior BJP member, who did not wish to be named, said, “The allegation of large-scale malpractices in the election at the behest of the ruling BJP in the West Tripura parliamentary constituency was followed by a malicious campaign with fabricated facts about the marital life of the chief minister Deb. These have embarrassed the state government and put BJP in an awkward position.” .
He added that at least five speeches of the chief minister on common issues were distorted and misrepresented on the social media to malign him personally.
