The actor had shared a video on Tuesday that showed her chopping off her hair after getting frustrated with their condition. It is has now been revealed that she was wearing a wig in the video, staged for a hair oil brand’s promotion.
Kiara arrived at launch event for the new hair oil on Thursday with her long, dark hair intact. She was seen in a blue dress, posing next to a large bottle of hair oil. Kiara had earlier shared a video on her Instagram stories before heading to the event. In it, she is seen with her hair still rolled up, maintaining the secrecy around it.
In the video shared on Tuesday, Kiara rapped about hair problems and how she was driven to chop it. She captioned it: “Guilty as charged! Just had to chop it off, been neglecting proper hair care for too long and thought this was the only solution.”
While some of her fans loved her new look and called it “cool”, other called it fake and a publicity stunt. “That’s a wig,” read one comment on her post. “Sis we all been knew that those are extensions,” read another. “Hopefully that wig wasn’t tooooo expensive,” read a comment. Others were confused at the big reveal. “You got your haircut yesterday now you’re endorsing an hair product with extensions??? Did I misunderstand anything here?!?,” wrote a fan. “Chhote bal bade kese ho gaye,” wrote another.
On the film front, the actress will next be seen in Good News with Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar and Diljit Dosanjh. Before that, she will be seen in Kabir Singh with Shahid Kapoor. It will hit the big screens on June 21 this year.
