Vadodara: In a shocking incident, body of a newborn baby was found dumped inside a toilet at the state-run SSG Hospital on Wednesday morning. Security personnel Ankur Barot saw the body of the girl child inside the general toilet located opposite emergency ward while he making his regular round of the premises at around 11.15 am.
Barot, who registered a complaint at Raopura police station, said that the umbilical cord was still attached to the body of the newborn. Cops have registered a complaint against an unidentified women under section 318 of the Indian Penal Code which relates to “concealment of birth by secret disposal of dead body”.
Earlier this month, another newborn girl died after she was was abandoned by her mother, Pravina Mali, in the hospital. Last year, too, another newborn baby’s body was found abandoned in a shoe rack kept outside the Rukmani Chainani maternity ward at the SSG hospital.
