In a tragic incident, a newly-wed couple were killed on the spot when their motorcycle was knocked down by an oil tanker at Kasturinagaram of V. Kota mandal on Wednesday.
The couple, identified as Ashok (23) and Ashwini (18), who got married a few months ago, were on their way to a nearby village Yallagaram in the mandal when the oil tanker hit them. Both suffered head injuries and died on the spot. The police shifted their bodies to a hospital.
