Three killed in accident

Rajkot: Three people, including two women, were killed when the SUV they were travelling in met with a head-on collision with a truck on Ahmedabad-Kutch highway near Malwan village of Dhrangadhra taluka in Surendranagar district on Tuesday night.
The deceased were identified as Jaimin Kansara (25), his wife Nidhi Kansara (23) and her sister Preksha Kansara (22).
“In order to save a pig crossing the road, the SUV driver applied a sudden brake. The driver lost control over the vehicle, which jumped the divider and collided head-on with the truck coming from the opposite direction,” said D B Jhala, sub-inspector with Malwan police station. tnn
