Snatchers on bike ram cab, injured

Greater Noida: Two alleged snatchers on a bike being chased by their victim crashed into a cab in Kasna on Monday night. They were rushed to Kailash Hospital by the cab driver, one of them has been reported critical while the other was given first aid for minor injuries. Cops learned that they were being chased after detaining one of the accused.
The accused were identified as Sanjay and Abbas and are believed to be in their early twenties. Police recovered 10 mobile phones from the backpack they were carrying. Around 10.30pm on Monday, the two were speeding their bike out of the Jagat Farm area when they collided head-on with a cab (Hyundai Accent) that was making a turn.

“We received information at around 11.45pm through a phone call by the cab driver who had rushed the two men to Kailash Hospital. The mobile snatchers were allegedly running away on their Pulsar bike after robbing a victim who was chasing them on his bike. Following the accident the victim left while the cab driver and passersby took them to hospital,” said Ajay Kumar, SHO at Kasna.
Police added that Abbas has been reported critical while Sanjay, who was riding pillion, was detained after first aid, “The doctors have admitted Abbas in ICU. Sanjay has confessed to the snatchings,” he added.
