It was 1974, when Indian audience found their first superstar in Rajesh Khanna. But Ali Abbas Zafar's Bharat (Salman Khan) was a fan of Dilip Kumar, and he found his Saira Banu in Kumud (Katrina Kaif). And thus began their "chashni vaali" love story.
Set in the 70s, the song has Salman Khan romancing Katrina Kaif in the deserts of the Middle East over rangolis and jalebis.
Sung by Abhijeet Srivastava, Chashni is a love ballad that has romance dripping from all sides.
After their 2017 film Tiger Zinda Hai, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are reuniting with Ali Abbas Zafar for Bharat. And their fans are excited to see this hit on-screen jodi once again on the big screen.
Talking about her chemistry with Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif said in an interview to Mumbai Mirror, "Yes, Salman and I share great chemistry, but when I walked onto this set, I was very clear that the script demanded a different kind of dynamics between us and I had to maintain it."
She added, "So, I would not have lunch or hang out with him. It's different with an action film like Tiger (Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai) where you can chat and chill. But here, I wanted Bharat and Kumud to appear like two people meeting for the first time and forging a connection. I hope you see that in the film."
Bharat is an official remake of a Korean film An Ode To My Father. It depicts the history of India through the life of an ordinary man.
The film is set to hit the screens on June 5.
