HYDERABAD:
TRS working president K T Rama Rao on Wednesday said he may be forced to take legal recourse against
Congress leaders alleging his involvement in the selection of Globarena Technologies for providing software for Intermediate examinations results.
“Rahul Gandhi had to apologise to the Supreme Court. Congress leaders in Telangana would do better to avoid levelling wild allegations,” he said.
Speaking at a gathering at the TRS party headquarters ‘Telangana Bhavan’ on the occasion of May Day, K T Rama Rao said he found the allegations weird. “For a contract worth Rs 4.34 cr, the allegation being levelled is that Rs 10,000 cr had changed hands. This is the lie that is being spread,” he said.
KTR said the Intermediate Board at its level had called for tenders and selected the company based on the rules. “The allegation that is being levelled is that as IT minister earlier, I was involved in it. This misinformation is being deliberately spread and I must warn that I may have to approach the court against those levelling such wild allegations,” he said.
K T Rama Rao urged students not to take recourse to extreme steps as the reverification of marks was taking place and this would be completed in the next few days. “I am saddened at the suicides of students. But the opposition parties are bent upon taking political mileage out of it,” he said urging that everyone at this juncture should follow restraint.
“If the opposition parties are so keen to debate, we are ready for it. They can discuss many issues and we will respond,” he said.
